Earlier this year, our Reston office was relocated to a different part of Reston. No worries, we didn’t go too far. We’re only 0.7 miles away from our old office. We are no longer on Sunset Hills Road we are now on Commerce Park Drive, right across the toll road from where our old office was located. We have 4 brand-new, state-of-the-art operatories, all outfitted with the latest technology and build for the comfort of our patients.

Improving Patient Safety: An Analysis of Dental Risks and Liabilities

We had our last continued education lecture of 2017 last month and it was great! We had the pleasure of working with Fortress Insurance Company, who was able to provide our speaker of the evening, Dr. Ragan. It was a full house and we thank everyone that was able to attend.

Sedation dentistry is a technique used to help people who suffer from dental anxiety. It uses a mild sedative to induce a relaxed, calm state free from any stress or tension. In September, Nobel Biocare and Vision Artist Dental Lab partnered with us to provide our referring doctors with a hands-on experience. This course provided a brief overview of surgical protocol. A discussion of tretment planning, work flow and a guided step-by-step, hands on conversation regarding All-On-4 hybrid prothesis. All necessary components were provided including a prosthetic model, the restorative components, and instruments. Our guest speakers were Donna Scott with Nobel Biocare and Ed Loyola with Vision Artist Dental Lab. 

This past Tuesday, June 13th we hosted our second CE event of the year, sponsored by Keystone at Landini Brothers in Alexandria, VA. We had the pleasure of having doctor Mariano Polack, DDS, MS as our speaker.

Oral Pathology

This past month, on Thursday April 20th we hosted our first Continued Education Event of 2017. We had Dr. John Svirsky, cover the topic of oral pathology. Dr. John Svirsky is a board certified oral and maxillofacial pathologist at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia.  He received his dental degree in 1973 from VCU and went on to complete a general practice residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Queens Hospital Center, as well as an oral pathology residency at the Catholic Medical Center.
