In October of this year, we hosted our last continued education course of the year and it couldn’t have gone any better, we had a full house! We had the pleasure of having Dr. Geoffrey Cunningham as a speaker.
Dr. Geoffrey Cunningham was born and raised in West Virginia. After earning his BA in Biology at West Virginia University, Dr. Cunningham went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from West Virginia University of Dentistry in 2000. Following a one-year General Practice Residency at West Virginia Hospitals in 2001, Dr. Cunningham entered private practice in general dentistry in North Carolina. After five years in private practice, he decided to pursue a specialty degree in Prosthodontics, and in 2009, he received his Master of Science degree and Certificate in Prosthodontics from West Virginia University.
In 2012, Dr. Cunningham decided to make his dream of private practice prosthodontics a reality when he joined forces with Dr. Hoke at Durham Prosthodontics. He was proud to be named as Durham Magazine’s Top Dentists by his peers in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Dr. Cunningham lectures nationally for multiple dental implant companies and is published in the European Journal of General Dentistry, International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants, and International Academy of Dental Research. He presently holds an appointment as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Department of Prosthodontics.
